The whole Rumbelle saga has got a bit ridiculous now - surely we're not the only ones who think that? They've been on-off-on-off more often than a faulty light, and truth be told, it has started to grate on us. Would anybody in their right mind really love a man who has too often put them in harm's way, committing countless heinous crimes along the way? Yes, yes, yes, this is a fictional world, we get that. But there's a fine line between constructing a well-woven storyline and a frankly unbelievable one. Belle appeared to finally get a hold of her situation in the latter stages of Once Upon A Time's fifth season, as she purposefully put herself under a sleeping curse until Rumple sorted his shit out (you go, Glen Coco!). She seemed pretty done with the Dark One before consigning herself to a potential eternity of untroubled slumber, so have we finally seen the end of Rumbelle?
We're not so sure... The sleeping curse scenario was only written into the script as a result of Emilie de Ravin's pregnancy. It was a move forced upon Kitsis and Horowitz rather than one they had always planned on incorporating. This suggests to us that when she does eventually wake (and she will), Belle will forgive Rumple for the gazillionth time. We know that the pair's unborn baby will feature in the Season 6 storyline somewhere down the line, so perhaps Belle is willing to put aside her differences with the Dark One for the sake of their child.
